Historic buildings house antique shops and restaurants in a charming town square.

Church Street Historic District

Several churches and homes built in the 1890s line this Dade City street, beautifully decorated each Christmas with luminarias.

Historic Courthouse

Located at the center of downtown Dade City, the Georgian-style courthouse was built in 1909 for $34,860 and recently restored. Visitors may view common areas inside.

Pioneer Florida Museum & Village

Civil War-era buildings, artifacts & exhibits, plus First Ladies of Florida dolls. Tues.-Sat. 10 am-5 pm.

Bradley Massacre Site

Historic marker tells about this site of the 1856 attack on Capt. Robert Duke Bradley and his family by a Seminole war party.

The Baker House

"Cracker" house dating back to 1882 known as the oldest standing building in Pasco County. Call for an appointment.

Zephyrhills Depot Museum

Housed in the restored 1927 Atlantic Coast Railroad Depot. Model train display, railroad memorabilia, gift shop and artifacts from the original depot. Free admission.

World War II Barracks Museum

Features memorabilia from WWII fighter pilots who lived and trained in Zephyrhills. Open on the third Saturday and Monday of the month.

Historic Tours of Downtown New Port Richey

Historic tours tell of a silent film star past, including Richey Suncoast Theatre, Hacienda Hotel and several colorful murals depicting the city's glamorous past.

West Pasco Historical Society

Housed in the original Seven Springs schoolhouse. Museum, library and gift shop, many photographs, books & maps. Tue & Wed 10 am - 1 pm Fri & Sat 1 - 4 pm

Oelsner Mound

Historic marker notes that this mound is all that remains of a late Weeden Island period community dating back to 1000 AD.

St. Leo Abby /Church of the Holy Cross and St. Leo University

Scenic campus grounds include a monastery, grotto, church, university and retreat center.

The Old Trilby Community

Buildings and markers show the history of this old railroad community.

Capt. H.B. Jeffries Home

Historic marker. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

 

Crystal Springs Preserve

Visit a a 525-acre sanctuary devoted to environmental education and dedicated to the preservation of Florida's natural environment. Featured within the preserve is a Magnitude 2 Spring System, discharging 40 million gallons of water per day. Tour a magnificent wildlife viewing area, miles of wooded trails, river boardwalks, unique nature center, and extensive butterfly gardens, visitors are immersed in enriching experiences which enable them to make environmentally conscious decisions as they grow into the future.

 

Dade City's Wild Things Zoo

Lions, tigers, bears and more on a lush, 22-acre sanctuary north of Dade City. With more than 170 animals, the zoo offers guided tours Tuesday through Saturday, as well as private tours, feeding encounters and special events. 352-567-WILD (9453).

 

Florida Estates Winery

Located on a 3,600-acre working plantation, the winery is open daily for tastings, group tours and sales. Special events, fresh markets and wine classes offered throughout the year. 813-996-2113.

 

Giraffe Ranch

Feed giraffe, zebra and other animals in a safari-style adventure at this working ranch and wildlife preserve located on 47 acres north of Dade City. The ultimate eco-tour, Giraffe Ranch is open by reservation only and offers two tours per day, plus special educational programs for schools. 813-482-3400

 

Kumquat Growers

Visit the "Kumquat Capital of the World" from November through March when the groves bustle with action and burst with color. Tour the groves and stop by the gift shop to purchase the tart little citrus fruit in marmalades, chutney, jellies and more. 352-588-0544.
